Introduction

The Women's Coalition offers two support groups for victims of domestic violence.  One group is conducted in English, the other in Spanish.   We also conduct a support group for adult survivors of incest.  The support groups maintain confidentiality.

There is no charge for the support groups and they are held one evening per week for two hours.  Groups are co-led by two trained facilitators and provide a safe environment for victims to share their experiences and strengths as the move toward being survivors.

Call our office (773-9272) for dates and times of the meetings. Your call will remain confidential.

Why the support groups?

We ran into a quote that really says it all.

When these strangers gathered, something happened -- some would call it "a dynamic," other "grace" -- that allowed them to speak truthfully from the depths of their hearts and also to be receptive to each other's truths, where in other circumstances they could not do either, and in this giving and taking, to begin to heal.  What makes this possible and why it is healing remains the mystery and miracle of self-help groups.
